GRADES DUE: 5/20/26

As a reminder, all grades must be completed by May 20th. Grades need to be complete and in Skyward by 4:00 PM. We need all grades turned in so we can print the students last report card and place them in their cum folders. As a reminder, please be sure to have 10 grades for every content area.

Cumulative Folders

We will begin organizing cum folders during your P.E. specials period Tuesday, May 26th and Wednesday, May 27th.

When working on the cum folder you will asked to:

  • File a copy of each student’s final report card (will be placed in your box in the lounge)
  • Student pictures should be pasted in the CUM - NOT stapled. Each teacher should have a small rectangular copy of each of their students that were handed out after picture day.
  • Labels for grades:  A white label will be printed with grades that you will attach to the cum when all teachers have entered their grades into the computer.  (Kinder write ”no grades given”) No Comments should be placed in the cum folder, or communication about the student. You will retrieve the label from Mrs. Henderson.
  • Write in next year’s grade assignment

If you have any questions or concerns please speak with Mrs. Henderson, Mr. Bright, or Mrs. Casey.

Principal's Award

As previously shared, we are excited to recognize outstanding students through the Pirrung Principal’s Award during each grade level awards ceremony. Each grade level will select one male and one female student recipient (not one per class).

Please submit the names of your selected students by Thursday, May 21st. I will provide the award for each recipient; however, we are asking each grade level team to also provide a brief typed blurb explaining why the students were selected.

When choosing recipients, please consider students who consistently demonstrate strong character, positive behavior, and who contribute meaningfully to the classroom and overall campus culture. We would also like to recognize students who serve as positive role models and support others throughout the school year.

Thank you for your support in helping us celebrate and honor our students in such a meaningful way.

E.O.Y. Staff Checklist

Please take the time to observe and print out your Pirrung End Of Year Checklist (link below). We are asking that all items on the checklist be completed by May 29th.

Please be sure to read the details below the checklist for further clarification. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the individual responsible for checking off the line item that you have a question about.

Colorful school supplies including pencils, notebooks, scissors, and a stapler are arranged on a white surface.

Reminder: Supply Lists

Please take time to meet with your grade level to finalize your grade level supply list. We would like to have those finalized and sent to Mrs. Henderson by May 22nd.

As a reference I have linked the supply list from last school year. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to Mrs. Henderson or myself.

REPOST: Award Ceremony Links

As shared during last week’s staff meeting, end-of-year (EOY) class awards ceremony templates have been created for your use. An awards tracker has also been provided to help you monitor which students have received awards.

Please ensure that every student receives at least one award. We encourage you to collaborate with your grade-level team to maintain consistency and alignment across all classes during your awards ceremonies.

Departmentalized and specials teachers should provide their academic awards to homeroom teachers for announcement during the ceremony.

Principal’s Award:
Each class/grade level will recognize students who exemplify our R.O.A.R. values (Relationships, Opportunity, Achievement, Responsibility).

  • Grades K–2: Select 1 boy and 1 girl per class.
  • Grades 3–5: Select 1 boy and 1 girl per grade level.

Award Ceremony Links (Make digital copies before editing):

Thank you for your attention to these details as we prepare to celebrate our students’ accomplishments.

REPOST: E.O.Y. Award Ceremonies 5/26 & 5/27

As we begin planning for the end of the year, we’re excited to share that this year’s E.O.Y. award ceremonies will be held by grade level in the cafeteria. Each teacher will have up to 15 minutes to recognize and celebrate their students, and we will be inviting parents to join us for these special moments. Our goal is for every student to be recognized with an award.

All ceremonies will take place in the cafeteria, where you’ll have access to the podium and screen if your grade level would like to include a slideshow in your presentation.

To help ensure everything runs smoothly during these two days (May 26 & May 27), a few schedule adjustments will be in place:
  • Pre-K, Life Skills, and ECSE students will eat breakfast in their classrooms.
  • 4th and 5th grade students will eat lunch in their classrooms, and coverage will be provided for those teachers during that time.

Specials teachers:
Please provide an exemplary award for one male and one female student in each class. You do not need to be present at the ceremony, but we ask that you give your awards to the grade level teachers ahead of time so they can present them.

Below is the schedule for each grade level’s ceremony. We understand that some times may overlap slightly with specials, so we appreciate your flexibility and support.

Tuesday, May 26:
  • 9:00–9:45 – Pre-K/ECSE
  • 1:00–1:45 – 1st Grade
  • 2:10–2:55 – 3rd Grade
Wednesday, May 27:
  • 9:00–9:45 – Kindergarten
  • 1:00–1:45 – 4th Grade
  • 2:10–2:55 – 2nd Grade
Thursday, May 28:
  • 9:00-9:45 - 5th Grade
Life Skills students will participate with their grade level peers.

We will be encouraging students to dress up for their ceremonies, and we kindly ask that you do the same. Thank you for helping make these final days of the school year meaningful and memorable for our students. We truly appreciate all that you do!
